Thursday, October 16, 2003 Today is basketball player Sue Bird's birthday. She's 23. In the series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", the character Tara (seasons 4-6) was born on the same day (10/16/80). I remember that, but I can never remember where I parked my car. posted by Steven | 11:04 AM |Tuesday, October 14, 2003 Perseus Development Corp. randomly surveyed 3,634 blogs on eight leading blog-hosting services to develop a model of blog populations. Based on this research, Perseus estimates that 4.12 million blogs have been created on these services: Blog-City, BlogSpot, Diaryland, LiveJournal, Pitas, TypePad, Weblogger and Xanga.One in four of these blogs lasted only one day, and 66% had been "abandoned" for more than two months. It's hardly a surprise that creating a blog is so easy that a lot of people do it without commitment.
